Hey all old and new Crash fans, we are currently in Winnipeg resting up for tomorrows show here at the MyBar. Unfortunately a lot of infections are sweeping through our camp and I am sick as a dog but we are doing everything to fight it in time for our western run.
In between dates we have done some things worth updating you on, like our Ricoh Centre show for Me to We a day dedicated to raising money for Free the children. A great cause aiming at eliminating child labour and supporting communities around the world. You can see some footage on Youtube.
Also we spent a day in the studio recording a full band version of Casualties of War while we were home so look for a version of that coming out soon! We will update you.
All of the shows have been a lot of fun for us because the David Usher crew is awesome and all the promoters have taken very good care of us.
Our favourite part is coming out after the show and meeting everyone. It is nice to hear what people think of our music and our live show. We are making a lot friends as we go, so thank you to everyone for your feedback on our shows and for making us feel welcome in your cities.
Special thanks to John, Chris and Stella, you guys were amazing. If you haven’t seen us yet check out our tour schedule at www.crashparallel.com and hopefully we can see you soon!
Our growing success begins with our fans, you guys are amazing, take care for now.
Tim’s Blog July 14thWe were home for a just couple days to shoot our brand new video for Rain Delays, check it out at www.myspace.com/crashparallel. I want to send a special thanks to all of our friends and fans who helped as extra’s on set and all the team who worked on the film, especially Geoff and Sean! We had two really great shows last week. The first was in Ottawa at Bluesfest where we got the chance to meet so many great people and fans of the band, and on top of that got to check out the Black Crowes!! From there we headed to Quebec for the Festival Dete, where we played our largest show to date! It was amazing! The show was something so special to all of us and we want to thank everyone in the picture attached to this blog! The band wants to thank Franz and Mellissa from Indica for hanging out while we were in Quebec for the Festival Dete as well all the wicked people we met during our time there including Elizabeth, Stephanie, Rosalie, Audrey and Odile from Maurice, thanks for the drinks!! We are currently in Prince Edward Island after playing a cool show at Nicky Zee’s last night in Fredericton N.B. where we felt like we were coming home meeting all kinds of people including Andy Brown (A.K.A. Dandy Brown) who opened for us. He was amazing, check him out. Hello to Jen who I was told could not make it but had promoted the show from Charlie’s!! Thank you, enjoy the shirt. We are just getting underway on our east coast tour and are kind of overwhelmed how great the response has been. It is just another thing that makes us very happy and proud to be doing what we love. Thank you everyone for coming to see us or checking us out. Today we stood in the Atlantic ocean and we are about to chow down on some East Coast sea food! I will be in touch before we play Salmon Fest in Newfoundland! Thanks to all of our fans, thanks for spreading our music to your friends, it’s working! We will see you soon!– Timothy Edwards
So we walked out onto the biggest stage we have played yet and looked out over the early evening crowd at Virgin Fest Calgary yesterday and blew it up. The sun was blazing hot and held strong til 11 pm, perfect festival weather. It was really cool for us to see so many people who know our music and came from all around to see us. We closed the park down in traditional style and kind of took the moment in as a milestone in our summer tour. With many more festivals coming up this summer we are really excited and happy to be able to do this everyday. I want to say a special thanks to Brandi for treating us so well. Also we should give a shout out to the oxygen girls who were a lot of fun. We are heading now to Thunder Bay but have two days off until then to recover from our current celebrations. On a note to all fans we just released our second single to radio please listen for it and we will be shooting the video in early July. (Track 4 Rain Delays) Talk to you soon…
P.S. if you have any questions about the band feel free to contact us through myspace or our website.
Crash Parallel is back on the road after playing our hometown of Mississauga opening for Colin James. It’s always good to come home and play for family and friends, thanks for coming out. We just finished playing in Whistler B.C. which was awesome. The experiences we have been having are really positive and it’s great now we are hearing from fans about the record. Love hearing your feedback. We are releasing our next single starting next week at radio!! Rain Delays will be infiltrating your radio soon and we are looking forward to expressing more of the album to our fans in that medium. We will be shooting the video July 2nd. We played Winnipeg last night with the New Odds and Shaun Verrault and tonight we are in Saskatoon with those guys again. Awesome guys check them out. Every night is a new adventure for us and we learn more about Crash Parallel every night.
We have been writing material and working on some surprise cover songs. Touring Canada has been a great experience for me from a writing perspective, the scenery and experiences are things I will be drawing from a lot for the lyrics on the next record. Thanks for checking in I will update again after Virgin Fest in Calgary, we can’t wait…
We just settled back in to Ontario to play some local shows. The west coast was a lot of fun and we are enjoying a couple of days of relaxation before we start all again next week. We had some really amazing experiences including the rainfall in Kelowna when Alison made her visit to us. Thank you to her friends and family for coming out to see us, it meant a lot. Now we are going to play a show this Saturday at the Brampton Rugby Club where we played last year. Should be a blast again M Cappa! Now that we’ve been home for a few days we all have the itch to get back out on the road, it’s funny once the laundry is done and you’ve seen your friends and family you kind of feel empty, like you need more life on the road. I love meeting new people and seing new cities all the time and look forward to a whole summer of that. Remember if you come to our show please come and say hi. Talk to you soon, take care for now. Tim
Today we got to see the beautiful mountains of B.C. as we drove to Golden. Inspiring to say the least. We are now in Golden B.C. after playing in Vancouver last night at the media club which was awesome thanks to all who made it out. We got to meet some myspace fans and hang out in Vancity. We were in Maple ridge two nights ago and had a great show at Houstons. It’s really great to be hearing from our fans about the record and the band in person. We are hitting our stride as a band on tour now and having a lot of fun. For me it’s a dream come true and the days going delirious in a van on the road and doing morning show television interviews are quite a trip for me. I always imagined what it would be like and now I am getting a taste for the life I love. Thanks to all the fans helping make this happen for us. This whole thing is fan driven and it’s great to have you. For those in Calgary and Kelowna, we are coming in the next two days please come out and meet us , we look forward to it. Stay in touch I will hit you back after this leg of the tour. Thanks for reading!!
So, wow is Quebec fun or what? We have been having a blast and bringing our show every night now for 6 days straight. My voice is a little tired but I can say we are living our dream out here. Tonight we wrap up our Quebec run in Montreal and it should be a highlight for sure. We last played here with Lifehouse and had an amazing time. Monday we head to Vancouver and looking forward to more beautiful country and great people. We want to give a special shout out to Frankie Boy and JS in Chicoutimi, sonia and maude in Quebec City and all the promoters and venues on this run. It’s been a blast!
Hey everyone, it is a very exciting time for us as we released our debut record “World We Know” on May 6th which followed two shows with Lifehouse in Toronto and Montreal. We just started our Canadian run, which kicked off last night (May 13th) in Quebec City. We are now heading out to cover Quebec. World We Know the single has been doing very well at radio and I want to thank everyone who has supported us by requesting and playing the song. We also launched an online store and a fan mailing list on our website www.crashparallel.com. Please check it out and stay tuned for my blog entries as we play our way across Canada.
